Christian Therapist in Texas
Outwardly, you might look like you have it all together—successful, responsible, and respected. But inwardly, you are fighting a consuming internal battle, living a compartmentalized double life. I know exactly how exhausting it is to carry that secret, because I lived it. For years, I was a Christ-follower in the church arena, a husband at home, and lost to the chains of addiction when I thought no one was watching.
I thought I could manage it on my own. I had my plans, my prayers, and my discipline. But I vividly remember the day my wife, Jennifer, went out of town for a weekend. I was determined to be "good," but instead, my brain clicked into autopilot. I emptied a coin bank, counted out exactly 349 pennies, and drove to rent a video. All my willpower failed. I know the sheer terror of sitting in stunned silence, waiting for your partner to come home and ask, "Well, how’d it go while I was gone?".
When Jennifer asked me that question, I finally surrendered and admitted I was powerless. That honest confession didn't destroy my marriage; it was the beginning of saving it. Today, Jennifer and I have been in recovery together for 32 years, and I am celebrating 14 years of complete Sex Addiction (SA) sobriety. Because some things truly do work better with both perspectives in the room, Jennifer and I often team up to help couples bridge the terrifying gap from secret shame to genuine, unbreakable trust.
My Approach: Grace Meets Evidence-Based Strategy
I bring a unique, tri-fold perspective to your healing journey:
The Corporate Understanding: As a former Enterprise Account Director at Broadcom, I understand the intense pressure, stress, and expectations that high-achieving professionals face daily.
The Pastoral Heart: With over 40 years in church ministry, a Master of Divinity (M.Div.), and serving as an Anglican Priest, I weave faith into our work naturally, providing a judgment-free sanctuary. I will never shame you.
The Clinical Mechanism: As a Level 1 Internal Family Systems (IFS) Practitioner and the Director of the STAND FREE recovery program, I don't just tell you to "pray harder." I use profoundly effective, trauma-informed tools to help you understand why your brain reaches for relief.
When we work together, we bring curiosity and compassion to the protective parts of your mind driving these compulsions. You don't have to live in fear of exposure or rejection anymore. In our strictly confidential space, you can finally drop the mask, stop fighting yourself, and step into the authentic freedom and peace you were made for
